I do have some posts coming up. I’m in the process of redesigning my blog but have a few work projects that I’ve been busy with. I’ve been channeling my inner nerd and have been stuck in programming/hacking land. But I will get back to to fun stuff soon. I’m a bit excited about my new design and would like to launch along with one of my latest projects.
For now, these bug cookies will have to do. I made these about a month ago along with some flowers that were to go into a cookie bouquet. I hand-cut the dragonfly and bee. I like the dragonfly and bee so much, I think I just might buy or make a cutter for future use. The bee will always come in handy for me (for those who know me and my business it makes sense). Like the train cookies, the weather was not cooperating with me and the icing collapsed in some places. I had the most fun making the butterfly and all its little dots.
If you notice the background, it’s my new vegetable garden. It looks a lot more lush now and there’s mulch instead of dirt around the raised beds. I have a brown thumb and tend to kill plants. But I was pleasantly surprised to see how well my garden grew. It’s all quite exciting and rewarding. I’ve been having near-daily harvests of kale and other greens, I’ll be harvesting carrots soon and my tomatoes are getting bigger (not ripening though). I’ll post more about this later.
