I DO have a cookie recipe to share with you but before I post that, I have to announce…
The 2016 LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show — the West Coast’s largest baking and sweets expo — will take place on February 6 and 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Last year I so badly wanted to attend this event but was it was the same weekend as our daughter’s baptism. I made sure to put it in my calendar for 2016. I’m a little embarrassed to tell you how often I checked their website and twitter feed last year to find out the details for 2016.
The inaugural event garnered so much attention that it sold out. This year, they have a larger venue to fit more exhibitors and people. If you love sweets like me, there’s probably not much convincing needed to get you here but if you need a little extra push, here’s why you should attend the 2016 convention:
RON BEN-ISRAEL of Food Network’s “Sweet Genius” and “Cake Wars” will be headlining on Saturday.
ROSANNA “Ro” PANSINO of the YouTube channel Nerdy Nummies will be headlining on Sunday.
Oh, I should also mention that DUFF GOLDMAN, yes THE Duff Goldman from Charm City Cakes will be unveiling a cake that will be featured on Food Network’s “Cake Masters.” Plus there will be appearances and autograph signings from the stars of other popular baking and cooking shows such as “Masterchef.”
Yes, I’m totally geeking out.

Need I say more? How about cookies, cupcakes, ice cream, candy cake pops, vegan, gluten-free, low-sugar… Yes please! No, you’re not here just to look at sweet treats and sniff stuff. All your senses will be filled here!
