I had a belated mother's day breakfast date with m I had a belated mother's day breakfast date with mom since we were both busy with our respective church schedules this past weekend. She had a strawberry Belgian waffles and I had the adobo chicken and waffles.

Mom had a lot of "church lady chismis." It was pretty cute that old ladies can still act like teenagers. She also mentioned a Burmese restaurant that my Ninang Nora recommended so I showed her a picture of @paing_takhon_official and she was pretty impressed. 🤭🤭

It was a fun morning.

It's been a while since I've pieced a quilt. Ever It's been a while since I've pieced a quilt. Ever since my friend, Pam, passed, I didn't have the motivation to continue. I'm sure she'd be happy to hear that I opened up my UFOs (unfinished objects) and that I am using up her stash of fabrics.

This quilt has taken literal YEARS. I need to finish it so my daughter can take it to college with her in August.

I'm so proud of this girl. She got accepted into S I'm so proud of this girl. She got accepted into San Jose State and Virginia Tech. She's choosing SJSU so that she can be closer to tech companies for internship opportunities.

We just got a letter that she received a $1000 Scholarship from the San Diego Ford dealers. On top of that, she holds down a part-time job, is the president of her school's Asian Pop music club and keeps over a 4.3 GPA.

Not to mention that she's financially responsible, has investments and several savings accounts for a car and technology equipment.

As a parent, the best thing that we can do for our kids is to raise them to be responsible adults. She may still be a moody, snarky teen, but I'm confident with letting her go out to the world on her own.
Fun times in Beverly Hills last night at the Oneus Fun times in Beverly Hills last night at the Oneus concert. The Saban theatre is a gorgeous classic art deco building. The theatre is quaint and there wasn't an empty seat in the house!
